When Michigan companies are faced with state-specific regulations that are more restrictive than their counterparts in other states, the cost of operating in Michigan becomes uncompetitive. To improve our competitiveness with other states, MMA will continue its efforts to eliminate state specific regulatory standards that exceed federal law. MMA will continue to advocate for statutory changes that limit administrative rule authority that exceed federal standards without specific legislative approval.
