Unnecessary “Michigan only” environmental regulations impose millions of dollars of costs on job providers in our state. When Michigan’s environmental regulations exceed federal standards, the cost to Michigan companies exceeds the costs for their competitors in other states and countries. We must continue to reform our environmental regulations so Michigan companies have to meet the same regulations as other states, NOT exceed them. These regulatory changes will allow Michigan manufacturers to compete in the global economy.
