Employer-sponsored health plans continue to be the largest source of health insurance coverage for Americans and Michiganians. As the largest payers of health insurance, 91 percent of manufacturers offer health care benefits to their employees, compared to 71 percent of all other industries. MMA will work to promote the value of employer-sponsored health care plans to ensure the continued viability of these plans and preserve manufacturing employer options by advocating for cost-saving initiatives, including wellness incentives. We will combat policies that increase the cost and complexity of private health care and fight disincentives to employer coverage.
