New Internal Trade Crossing
The Snyder Administration is moving forward with the New International Trade Crossing to create an expressway-to-expressway connection to global markets for Michigan’s economy. However, several steps need to be accomplished before the bridge can be built. MMA will continue to support the efforts of the Snyder Administration to build an international trade crossing that moves at the speed of the global economy.

Moving at the Speed of the Global Economy

“The Detroit-Windsor corridor is the busiest commercial land border crossing in North America, handling approximately 25 to 30 percent of all trade between the United States and Canada,” said Mike Johnston vice president of government affairs for the MMA. “To help grow manufacturing in Michigan, we need a transportation corridor than moves at the speed of the global economy.”
