Michigan Manufacturers Association Applauds Action on Curriculum Legislation
The Michigan Manufacturers Association (MMA) praised the House Education Committee for its action on legislation designed to grant students the opportunity to experience hands-on and project-based learning both inside and outside of the classroom.

MMA Opposes HICA Tax Increase, Points to a Better Solution
The Michigan Manufacturers Association (MMA) reiterated its opposition to legislation introduced by Senator Roger Kahn (R-Saginaw) that would increase the 1% Health Insurance Claims Act (HICA) Tax. The MMA opposes this legislation that seeks to increase employer health care costs and reduce the state’s ability to remain competitive.

Michigan Manufacturers Recognized for Service to Community and Industry
Manufacturers across Michigan will gather in Lansing on May 14, 2013 to honor the recipients of the 2013 John G. Thodis Michigan Manufacturer of the Year Award. The Award, an annual honor since 1981, recognizes manufacturers for their dedication to community service and their role as a symbol of positive work being done by the manufacturing industry.
