Michigan Manufacturing Week 2013: Huge Success!

To celebrate Michigan Manufacturing Week, MMA hosted its 8th annual CEO & Executive Forum and the Legislative & Executive Reception on 5/14/13. The two events allowed manufacturers from across the state the chance to come together with stakeholders and legislators for a day of networking, discussion and celebration in honor of the largest economic sector in Michigan.

The Reception featured a presentation of the MMA Legislator of the Year and Advocate of the Year awards. The annual honor recognizes legislators for their dedication to Michigan’s manufacturing sector and their role in advocating on behalf of Michigan’s largest job creator.

The recipients of the 2012 Legislator of the Year and Advocate of the Year awards, as well as a special Policymaker of the Year award, include:

• 2012 Policymaker of the Year: Lt. Governor Brian Calley
• 2012 Legislator of the Year (Senate): Senator Jack Brandenburg
• 2012 Legislator of the Year (House): Representative Jeff Farrington
• 2012 Advocate of the Year (Senate): Senator Tonya Schuitmaker
• 2012 Advocate of the Year (House): Representative Eileen Kowall

What is the Legislative Reception?

MMA members have the opportunity to meet with policymakers during the annual Legislative & Executive Reception. This elegant, yet relaxed, event features a presentation of MMA’s Legislator of the Year Award. Guests are invited to enjoy hors d’oeuvres and cocktails.

When is the 2013 Legislative Reception?

The 2013 Legislative & Executive Reception will be held Tuesday, 5/14/13, from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the MMA Office in Lansing. You are also invited to join us earlier in the day, for the MMA CEO & Executive Forum.

How much does it cost to attend?

Attend the 2013 MMA CEO & Executive Forum earlier in the day and you will receive complimentary admission to the MMA Legislative & Executive Reception. The cost for MMA members to attend the Legislative & Executive Reception is $150, non-member cost is $325 (after 4/21/13, pricing goes up to $175 for MMA members and $350 for non-members).
