MacIlroy Announces Retirement; Hadden Named Successor as MMA President and CEO
7/21/2008

The MMA Board of Directors has accepted the notice of retirement of MMA president and CEO John W. “Mac” MacIlroy and has elected Charles E. (Chuck) Hadden to succeed MacIlroy as president and CEO, effective September 15, 2008. MacIlroy will remain with the organization as a senior advisor to the board.

MMA Releases 2008 Michigan Manufacturing Agenda

The Michigan Manufacturers Association (MMA) has released its 2008 public policy agenda [pdf file] outlining policies and reforms that the association believes can strengthen Michigan’s manufacturing community and, in turn, move the state out of its economic doldrums.

Who sits on the Advisory Committees?

All members are welcome to join a committee and share their input.

How is MMA’s legislative policy developed?

The members of the MMA Advisory Committees develop the legislative policy. They are closest to the issue, many dealing directly with the effects of the legislation or regulation. Once the committee develops policy, the government affairs staff works to implement it.
