Amy Shaw was appointed to the Michigan Manufacturers Association’s newly-created position of director of education and employment relations in 2001. She has more than 13 years of experience in program development and implementation, including eight years in her previous capacity as MMA’s director of education.

In addition to her responsibilities for educational lobbying and managing MMA-sponsored seminars, Shaw works to represent the interests of the manufacturing community in the areas of workers’ compensation, unemployment insurance, wage and hour, MIOSHA, health care benefits, labor relations, equal employment opportunity and employment training.

Shaw also leads the MMA Education Advisory Committee, made up of MMA-member company representatives interested in education, training and workforce development issues.
