John Trobec serves as president of the MMA Service Corporation (MMASC) — a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Michigan Manufacturers Association (MMA). In the role, he oversees administration of the service arm’s competitive insurance products and services. He was named executive vice president and COO of MMA in 2001 to direct the day-to-day operations of the nearly 3,000-member association.

Trobec joined MMA in 1979 when the association’s Detroit and Lansing offices merged. Prior to joining MMA, he served as manager of direct marketing for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan. He is active in the American Society of Association Executives and the Michigan Society of Association Executives and serves on the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association Advisory Committee, the Conference of State Manufacturers Association Services Group and the Potter Park Zoological Society Board.

A native of Detroit, Trobec graduated from the University of Michigan-Dearborn and holds a M.B.A. from the University of Detroit.
